Because of its unique parallel processing technology the SwitchBack is energy efficient and has an extended battery life multiple times that of other portable computers its size in low power mode.</p>

The SwitchBack's UMPC design is so flexible almost any electronic peripheral can be designed to interface with it. Today, customers can order the SwitchBack UMPC with the Standard BackPack, which includes VGA output, a Serial Port, type II PCMCIA, Audio In/Out and USB 2.0. In addition, customers can choose to utilize Roper Mobile's BackPack Development Kit which allows them to build their own custom BackPacks.<br />
