The Motorola VC70N0 is an mobile computer that is meant to be mounted in an vehicle. With it's Dual Core processor and Windows Embedded Compact 7 installed, it's perfectly suited for warehouse tasks.
The dimensions of the VC70N0 are 291 mm x 225.4 x 60 mm (L/W/D), this makes it an excellent in-vehicle mobile computer. It's constructed of cast aluminium with integrated 3D shock-absorbing mount. The weight of the unit is 4.3 kg. The integrated Dual-function Battery provides up to 30 minutes session persistence during forklift battery swap and up to 72 hours RAM backup.
The 10.4 inch color display (XGA, 1024 x 768) has an resistive touchscreen with auto brightness control with ambient light sensor. Manual brightness control is ofcourse also possible. Optionally you can choose for an display defroster so the computer can even be used in freezers; the defroster removes the condensation.
The VC70N0 has a built-in front-mounted 2W speaker, external 13 watt speaker and external Push-to-Talk microphone that is ready for voice communication and voice-assisted applications.
As mentioned earlier, the unit is running Windows Embedded Compact 7 on an TI OMAP 4430 Dual Core CPU (1GHz). 512 MB (SDRAM) RAM is installed, and for storage, 2GB flash storage is available. This can be expanded up to 32GB via the Micro SD card slot.
The unit can be used in temperatures from -30 Degrees celsius upto 50 Degrees celsius.
