To serve our customers who need not only the portability of a touchscreen ruggedized PC tablet but also the multi-slot PC expansion capacities we have developed the new PC of the TETRA line, the TETRABox.
Combined with a ruggedized PC tablet or with an external display and a keyboard (PS/2, IrdA…) it becomes the essential tool of YOUR applications in the field.
Modularity
In the field, the TETRABox can be used as a workstation, like a portable rackmount, and connected to a touchscreen ruggedized PC tablet, to a ruggedized or standard notebook or even to an embedded display with a wireless keyboard, through a WLAN network (802.11 b,g).
Up to 4 PCI Slots
To meet the requirements of applications needing several add-on cards(telecommunications…) the TETRABox comes with a passive backplane offering up to 4 PCI slots
Durability and Performances
Proposed with a 1.8GHz Intel Pentium IV CPU, with a 300W AC power supply, 16Mb of DDR video memory and Gigabit Ethernet, the TETRABox provides you with the durability and performances you have a right to expect from an industrial portable computer.
Optiumum Air Flow and Card Retention
Like other TETRA products, the TETRABox comes with a reliable air flow system as well as with an add-on card retention system for an optimum operation of the cards that can be easily removed or placed into the PC.
