The PI-1 Broadcasting Interface integrates broadcast features with the phone and replaces the fixed microphone. Use the PI-1 on the “Page” port on the telephone or if it is not available on a free analog trunk port. The audio output goes to the (existing) broadcasting amplifier and speakers. It is also possible to leave the broadcasting background music system and electronic night bell sound. 

Electronic night bell function reacts to AC ring voltage from an analog phone or by offering a potential free contact. 

The PI-1 has an integrated, voice or AC ring voltage controlled relay with normally open and normally closed to mute the background music during the broadcast.
